Dalma Gréts signs a full
scholarship deal with
Duquesne University.

The Hungarian guard has been accepted to Duquesne University and will join the Duquesne Women’s Basketball program for the 2026–27 academic year, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the United States.

Dalma arrives from NKA Universitas Pécs, one of Hungary’s premier basketball development programs, where she has spent years competing against some of the country’s top young talent. Throughout her career, she has established herself as a versatile guard known for her competitiveness, basketball IQ, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Her résumé includes appearances with Hungary’s youth national teams and participation in international competitions, experiences that helped prepare her for the demands of collegiate basketball in the United States.

For Dalma, choosing Duquesne was about more than basketball.

Located in the heart of Pittsburgh, Duquesne University combines strong academics with a proud athletic tradition. Competing in the Atlantic 10 Conference, the Dukes have consistently established themselves as one of the conference’s respected women’s basketball programs.

While the move across the Atlantic brings new challenges, Dalma views the opportunity as the result of years of hard work and sacrifice.

Like many international student-athletes, she balanced academics, training, travel, and competition while pursuing the goal of playing college basketball in the United States. Her acceptance to Duquesne represents not only athletic achievement, but also a commitment to personal growth and education.

Looking ahead, Dalma hopes to make an immediate impact both on and off the court.

Her goals include continuing her development as a player, contributing to the success of the Duquesne program, earning her degree in Health Science and Biology, and taking advantage of every opportunity that comes with being a student-athlete in the United States.

As she prepares for her arrival in Pittsburgh, Dalma carries with her the support of her family, coaches, teammates, and the Hungarian basketball community that helped shape her journey.
